Appearance
Hair == Chestnut brown with streaks of red, it’s usually folded or slicked back due to excessive running of fingers through it due to anxiety.
Eyes == Celeste green, they're as bright as the man's smile - almost shining, even.

Build == Thin and lanky with barely any muscles to compensate for it. He's frail, almost to the point of being mistaken for sickly.
Distinguishing Features == His eyes, most definitely. As flashy as his sense of style can be, his eyes are bright and shining; and his smile and laugh are infectious. He does have a scar over his left eye, but somehow the attention is diverted from it. A noticeable trait is that he is always wearing gloves, no matter the occasion - if he has to take them off, he'll only take off the left glove.
Common Accessories == A pair of thick-rimmed glasses to hold the thick lenses he needs to see; an arcanist’s tome, and pouches and pockets filled with various aspected crystals. He also carries several tools to read aether. After many times of breaking his glasses, he finally decided that carrying the tools needed to fix them was a good idea.

Currently, he would be open for:
Past or current students - these can be in studies for general education, history and far history, and magic (in Lavender Beds); his school is free to attend, both for adults and children. His husband teaches weapons skills, maintenance, and a queer - yet legal - bastardization of White Magic.
Orphans - I know, it sounds strange. However, Lothaire and Misha's school also triples as a boarding school and orphanage.
Past friends / lovers - Lothaire had, well, some friends growing up, and it's possible you could be one of them! Before meeting his husband, he was also known to sleep around a bit, just for company.
Past or current bodyguards - Lothaire has... very bad luck when it comes to his safety, and so when his family cannot join him to keep him safe, he will hire bodyguards to aide him in his field research.
Newfound blood relative - Lothaire has an extensive family that he's no longer able to keep track of, being so far from home; there's a high possibility that he's met family and didn't even know it.

The Bill Keeper:
With Lothaire taking the helm of his grandfather’s company, The Missing Pages, he’s re-opened the building to serve as a hub for adventurers, mercenaries, and the general public to pick up stray odds and jobs. He keeps tabs of the Bills, Marks, and other jobs; alongside his husband. Occasionally, he’ll find himself out in the field helping along.

"Prestigious" Family:
Lothaire has a lot of shoes to fill and shadows to follow, and is likely well known due to his grandfather, Maximiloix. Though he grew up in the Brumes of Ishgard, his grandfather’s deeds are many, bringing great expectation to his family name. Anyone from the Brumes would know him, both as a student to his grandfather’s school, and eventually a teacher there until a family-friend could take over and allow him the chance to travel with his daughter.
Poor, Unfortunate, Soul:
He has a penchant for clumsiness and bad luck - it seems to follow him wherever he goes, and it would not be hard to find him in trouble out in the field or in cities. Either running from monsters or animals, to bumping into the wrong crowd at the wrong time, to falling off the balcony of the Drowning Wench. This poor guy is serendipitous in his own bad luck, and where he might befall a tragic death or maiming, he instead happens across new friends or chances.
Looking for Work?:
Due to Lothaire's penchant for clumsiness and bad luck, he is constantly looking for bodyguards to help him with his research - and make certain that he doesn't fall into any life-threatening danger. His husband would be very thankful for the help.
Out in the field - Crystals:
Lothaire loves his field research, and can be found where crystal structures happen naturally. Mor Dhona happens to be his favorite researching spot, both in Allagan history and crystals. Sons of Saint Coinach members might be familiar with him intimately or passively, as he tends to visit that camp frequently. Other locations would include the North Shroud and Fallgourd Float; Eastern Thanalan and Highbridge; Lower La Noscea and Moraby Drydocks; Sea of Clouds and Camp Cloudtop; The Lochs and Ala Mhigo; Yanxia and Doma.
Out in the field - History:
Next to crystals, Lothaire’s fascination with Allagan technology and history have caused him more than a few problems. Though, through a family friend in Ironworks - in which some members may be familiar with him - he’s found himself a good contact to get him to Azys Lla - where he can be found traipsing about. Mor Dhona, as previously mentioned; and The Burn as well. Then comes his familiarity with the civilizations of the Fifth Astral Era, where he can be frequently found around the ruins of each of them.
